10% off in December 2020

26 Nov 2020

Anyone else a bit fed up of 2020 now? It’s been tough, hasn’t it? Well, we’re offering a little festive cheer to lift the spirits with 10% off bookings in either The Bothy or Old Mill for stays from 2nd to 31st December 2020. Simply enter the code RELAX10 when booking your stay. Guests must live in Tier 1 or Tier 2 in one of the UK regions to be eligible. Note that Dod Mill cottages are in the Scottish Borders, which is a Tier 2 area.

This part of Scotland, the Scottish Borders, has gorgeous rural landscapes on every route. You’ll likely visit at least one of the market towns, with excellent local Christmas shopping options. Our local small town, Lauder, is outstanding for grocery shopping with the Firebrick Bakery, the Purple Plum (fruit & veg), the Spotty Dog deli and Shaws Fine Meats.

The Bothy

The Bothy is our bijoux barn conversion for up to 4 guests (5 at a push!). The open-plan living, kitchen, dining space has loads of light and double-height ceilings. Above, you’ll find the romantic mezzanine bedroom.

A second twin bedroom (dinky proportions) is perfect for kids to use a dressing room.

The woodburning stove throws out plenty of heat – when it’s cold outside, it’s so nice to keep the fire going all day. Logs are included in our booking rates, along with natural firelighters and kindling.

During December, The Bothy has a Christmas tree and handcrafted festive touches.

Old Mill

Old Mill is the perfect place to cosy-in during the winter with a huge woodburning stove, space to lounge and a roll-top bath on the mezzanine floor. This converted water mill is a place to slow down, relax and enjoy some luxury.

This cottage has modern interiors – think rural as well as industrial – with Farrow & Ball tones and natural furnishing. There are some unique and quirky touches in there, objects which make you wonder including the 300 year old giant key to the building.

Great for a single person or a couple, with some additional luxury from the rainforest shower, Nespresso coffee machine and spa-style products. Tree and festive touches throughout December.

Wildflowers, birds and why Dod Mill's meadow matters
